Women have been considered vital to the military efforts of nations across the world for more than one hundred years now. During both the First and Second World Wars, women played an important part in the war effort,providing labour in munitions factories and playing an active role in military service.Indeed, the current Queen of Great Britain joined the army as a mechanic during World War ll.
